This laser, when used in the fractional mode, makes microscopic “holes” in the skin which are filled with new collagen as healing progresses. This newly formed collagen helps to promote a more youthful appearance. This fractional mode is employed when treating fine lines and wrinkles on the face. Using the device in the fully ablative mode allows for the removal of superficial, benign growths with minimal damage to the underlying tissue.
