Frank Ferritto

Frank has been a physician assistant for over 30 years, practicing in dermatology for the last 19 years. Throughout his career, he has worked in family medicine, emergency and trauma care, urgent care, executive medicine, and dermatology. His specific clinical interests include autoimmune disorders, diseases of the nails, advanced acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, and surgical dermatology.
A 25-year veteran of the United States Coast Guard, Frank was selected as the first Coast Guard officer to serve on the White House Medical Unit. In that role, he was part of the medical team caring for the President, Vice President, and other White House staff. Upon retirement, he was awarded one of the nation’s highest non-combat honors, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
Frank holds a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Education and Training from Southern Illinois University, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska with a focus in family medicine. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed in North Carolina, Virginia, and Michigan. Frank also completed his Dermatology Diplomate Fellowship through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Frank and his wife, Megan, reside in Raleigh and spend their spare time exercising, playing golf, traveling, and enjoying time in Morehead City, NC. They attend Summit Church in Raleigh and One Harbor Church in Morehead City.
